Queen Elizabeth II is asked about her blind spot for Andrew

The vilified former prince, accused of sexually abusing the late Virginia Giuffre when she was a teenager, was fiercely protected by his mother.

The Church of England vicar, Stephen Kuhrt, asked whether Her Majesty had a blind spot for the son.

He wrote: “Three years after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, much of the admiration for her strong sense of duty persists.

“Fairness, however, demands that Elizabeth II be subject to equal scrutiny as others in positions of responsibility.

“Is it really credible that she was completely unaware of the activities and certainly the associations of the son to whom she was so close?

“If not, was his inaction on behalf of the most vulnerable compatible with the role of someone so publicly committed (“whether my life be long or short”) to the service of his people?

“Should we accept the excuse that she had a blind spot to her supposed favorite child’s ‘weaknesses’?” he noted.
