Hollywood star Sally Kirkland is in hospice after battling devastating health problems last year.
TMZ was informed by Kirkland’s representative that the 84-year-old was in hospice care at a Palm Springs hospital after suffering from dementia.
A GoFundMe has been set up, which reveals the Bruce Almighty The star faced life-threatening infections after breaking several bones and is now “resting comfortably” in the hospice.
“Last year, Sally broke four bones in her neck, right wrist and left hip,” mentioned the page, which seeks to raise money for Kirkland’s medical costs.
“During her recovery, she developed two separate life-threatening infections,” it added.
“The combination of these injuries and infections required prolonged hospitalization and rehabilitation beyond the 100 days covered by insurance,” he concludes.
The legendary actress is best known for her films The Sting and Annathe latter having earned him an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win.
Kirkland’s long acting career dates back to the 1960s, when she appeared in many classic television shows, including Hawaii Five-0, Three’s CompanyAnd Charlie’s Angels.
Other notable roles she has played on the big screen include playing Anita Mann in Bruce Almighty, and a leading role in the film directed by Kevin Costner JFK.
