PlayStation has just announced State of Play Japan, a brand new presentation that will be released tomorrow, November 11, 2025.
Announced via the Official PlayStation Blog, the accompanying post confirms that this State of Play presentation will be “a special episode featuring game announcements and updates from Japan and across Asia.”
Hosted by Japanese voice actor Yuki Kaji, State of Play Japan will be narrated in Japanese with English subtitles. You can watch it live on the official PlayStation YouTube channel at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. GMT / 11 p.m. CEST. In Japan, the broadcast will air at 7 a.m. JST on November 12.
This is the typical length of a State of Play presentation, around 40 minutes, so expect a lot in the way of announcements.
So what can we reasonably expect to see at State of Play Japan, given that it focuses exclusively on games developed in Japan and Asia?
It seems reasonable to wait for an update on Arc System Works’ Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which is developed in collaboration with PlayStation Studios for PS5 and PC. Outside of a closed network test, we haven’t had many announcements about the upcoming fighting game.
Meanwhile, Everstone Studio’s free game Where the winds meet is set to launch on November 14, so we might see a small update to the game right before release. by Hoyoverse Honkai: Star Rail also just finished its 3.x patch series, so some information on where the game is going would be welcome.
The presentation can also be an opportunity to Tekken 8 And Street Fighter 6 to tease upcoming characters and season details. And, with Team Ninja Nioh 3 due to arrive early next year, a new trailer isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
Of course, we won’t know for sure until the presentation airs tomorrow, so be sure to tune in if you want to catch all the latest announcements live.
But what about a Transmitted by blood redo or remaster? Ha. Don’t be stupid now.
