An explosion occurred near the main entrance of Islamabad’s G-11 courthouse on Tuesday, triggering emergency measures at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.
The hospital’s emergency services have been activated and the injured are being transferred from the site by Rescue 1122, ambulances and police vehicles. So far, more than 12 people, including seriously injured people, have been admitted.

A large contingent of police officers also arrived at the hospital, while the Islamabad Inspector General of Police and the Chief Commissioner visited the spot.
According to sources, the explosion took place in a vehicle parked on the service road near the entrance to the courthouse. According to police sources, three people near the vehicle were injured in the explosion.
Authorities are investigating the incident and security has been increased in the area.
