Matt and Ross Duffer revealed the secret to the success of Stranger things.
At the Los Angeles premiere of Stranger Things” Fifth and final season, on November 6, the twin brothers reflected on how the series touched people.
“I think a big part of the show’s success is that people can relate to these characters and these actors. They’re good people,” Ross said. People. “And I think that comes through in their performances.”
Fans “see themselves in [the characters] and they see the challenges that they’re going through, and seeing them overcome them gives them hope,” he added. “So, I think that’s a big part of the success.”
Matt thinks the secret ingredient is the cast, which “has become one big family.”
“For young actors, kids who aren’t kids anymore, that’s 10 years, that’s half their life,” he says, referring to Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo.
“They’re all very, very close. And I think that real connection that they have translates into the show,” he added.
Ross then teased that the final season of Stranger Things is “intense from start to finish”. The season will arrive on Netflix on November 26 with the first four episodes, followed by three episodes arriving on Christmas and the finale on New Year’s Eve.
