ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Wednesday announced that the government was rolling out a Rs4.5 billion plan to train 7,200 professionals in semiconductor chip design.
Speaking at the Margalla Dialogue 2025, themed “Algorithmic Warfare: How AI is redefining influence and security,” Shaza said the program included the “Inspire” initiative, aimed at developing national semiconductor expertise.
She added that publicly funded high-tech training programs across the country already train more than half a million young people each year.
