In a new conversation with PEOPLE MagazineJenna Bush Hager revealed to Claire Danes that she dyed her hair in middle school to look like the iconic Danes series character.
During his appearance in the last episode of Jenna and her friendsthe 43-year-old presenter admitted that one of Danes’ characters inspired her first hair transformation.
“I had a crush on a girl for a long time, including in sixth grade when I took food coloring and dyed my hair to make myself look. [like you]” Bush Hager told Danes, referring to her role as Angela Chase in the beloved teen drama.
The TV personality even shared a side-by-side photo of herself as a child and Dane’s character, both sporting the same reddish-brown shade.
“I mean, please listen, doesn’t this little person want to be the other little person?” she joked.
“That’s very nice,” replied Danois, 46, before moving on to a new topic.
