Perhaps it says a lot about me that I plowed through the crossword-themed Strands yesterday, but worked to get to the end of this scavenging-based search. Regardless, I think it was a particularly tough match.
“Out, damn place!” was a curious theme and one that initially made me wonder if I was missing a pop culture reference – a phrase from 101 Dalmatians maybe?
Even after receiving SPRAY, SCRUB and BLOT, the penny didn’t drop and it took me a clue to move forward. I also found spangram harder to find than usual. A bit like cleaning chores, I couldn’t wait for everything to be finished.
