- First trailer for Disney+ docuseries Eras Tour, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, released
- All six episodes are scheduled to premiere on the streamer on December 12.
- Fans will also receive “The Final Show” version of the Eras Tour film on the same day.
So much has happened with Taylor Swift in the last few months that I almost forgot about it Taylor Swift: the end of an era was coming to Disney+ until its new trailer was released.
We’re also getting a new version of the Eras Tour film dubbed “The Final Show,” which will include Swift’s 2024 album “The Tortured Poets Department” which was included as a bonus track during the show’s two-year international tour.
As someone who attended one of the most high-profile concerts in touring history (not to brag), the brand new trailer for Taylor Swift: the end of an era has enormous advantages and disadvantages.
On the positive side, I get to relive the moment that made global headlines again. On the other hand, the first 10 seconds of the trailer reveal one of the biggest secrets of the lot.
Opinion: The first trailer for the documentary series Taylor Swift: The End of an Era spoils the secrets of Travis Kelce and the mop cart
Look on it
Let’s talk about the negatives of the trailer first. If, like me, you watched the early Eras Tour concerts via grainy TikTok livestreams trying to figure out what was going on, you’ll remember the early rumors about how she got on stage in the first place.
After a few weeks, Swifties figured out that she had arrived in a box disguised as a mop cart, delivering her backstage undetected (that is, until people started cheering for the cart itself). Within six seconds of Taylor Swift: The end of an era, we see Swift inside the cart, essentially spoiling one of the biggest ongoing mysteries the fanbase has had in the last couple of years.
I can only imagine we saw it so early, because there are more surprises in store – we are talking about the Easter egg queen after all. One of them, I hope, is how her boyfriend Travis Kelce came to perform on stage with Swift on the third night of the Wembley Stadium leg… the same night I attended.
Before we could even leave the stadium, reports of Kelce dancing in a top hat and tailcoat (during the tortured poets section, no less) were all over the internet. Having been a surprise to absolutely everyone. Of all the guests who joined him on tour, he was by far the most unexpected.
Kelce appears in the trailer for the documentary series, supporting her as she works hard with her team. I guess we’re only scratching the surface of Kelce-Swift content, which could potentially completely implode social media.
Regardless of the ups and downs, I’m really looking forward to seeing exactly how the Eras Tour was built. Even though Swift has been in the media almost constantly this year (thanks to her engagement, the release of “The Life of a Showgirl” and her absolutely terrible movie “release party”), I still feel like there’s still more to learn about the most famous woman in the world.
