Labubu, a viral toy doll, is set to make her big screen debut, with Sony Pictures developing a film based on her.
THR reports that the studio has acquired the screen rights to the furry monster. However, it is not yet clear whether the film will be an animated film or a live-action film. Additionally, no actors or directors are on board yet.
The purchase of the rights follows the character created by illustrator Kasing Lung which has recently become extremely popular.
