NYT Strands today (game #624) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #624, are…
- GUIDE
- SERVICE
- GUARD
- BREEDING
- THERAPY
- RESCUE
- SPANGRAM: WORKING DOGS
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
My first intuition upon seeing the “Paw Patrol” theme was that we were looking for a variety of animals with paws, but after I found “dogs” and that word came up as a non-playful word, I had to rethink. It was only later that I realized it was just part of the WORKINGDOGS spangram.
I managed to get started after seeing GUIDE and SERVICE, but it wasn’t until a hint gave me GUARD that I understood what we were looking for.
After completing this list, it got me thinking about the many different roles that working dogs play in the human world and that research didn’t even include the most famous canine job of all: solving mysteries and eating Scooby snacks.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday November 16, match #623)
- FOIL
- SCARF
- STOLE
- FLAT BREAD
- CELLOPHANE
- SHAWL
- SPANGRAM: IT’S SAWRAP
