Despite briefly losing Jordan Love to a shoulder injury, the Green Bay Packers managed to come back strong and hand the New York Giants their fifth straight loss.
Backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped in and threw a first-quarter touchdown during Love’s brief absence.
The Giants entered the game with their own quarterback issues, with rookie Jaxson Dart ruled out with a concussion. Before kickoff of Sunday’s game, ESPN reported that members of the Giants organization encouraged Dart “to be more careful about when and how often he moves once he returns to the field.”

Dart has provided a spark to the Giants’ offense since replacing veteran signal-caller Russell Wilson. But Dart was hit and was forced into the blue medical tent to be evaluated for a concussion during New York’s 24-20 loss to the Chicago Bears last week.
Dart visited the tent several times during his rookie season, something Jacobs hopes the young quarterback can avoid in the future by being more careful when he’s on the football field.

“You gotta get down, man. You gotta learn how to slide, you gotta learn how to step out of bounds when you need to,” Jacobs told TMZ Sports. “It’s not a tough guy sport to run around, hit people, try to truck people.”

Jacobs added: “Just taking those types of hits throughout the game will never be in his favor. It will never be in our team’s favor!”

Jacobs also offered some words of wisdom to fellow running back Cam Skattebo, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury last month. “Listen to the doctors,” he said, “and don’t try to do more than you’re supposed to.”
Sunday’s loss dropped the Giants to 2-9. Earlier this week, the franchise parted ways with head coach Brian Daboll.
