He talked about his first professional shots after the match.
“I don’t think I played well,” Sanders said. “I don’t think I played well at all. I think there’s a lot of things, you know, that we need to look at, during the week and get comfortable, even throwing routes, you know, with Jerry (Jeudy) and throwing routes with all those guys.
“So, I think that was my first ball against him all year. But other than that, I think overall we have to go next week and figure it out, so we have a week to prepare for the things that I like to do.”
Sanders was not receiving first-team reps in training before entering the game. He started the season as a third-string quarterback and moved to QB2 when the team traded Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals.

He was asked what he thought went well in his performance.
“Losing is not something I’m comfortable with at all. So, I just have to take this one, you know, I have to take this one,” he said. “I’ve got to decompress. I’ve had to realize that, you know, this actually happened, you know, on my watch. I don’t like that feeling. And I know offensively, if I’m able to go out and get an opportunity, I know I’ll be able to take everything to a different level.
“Like I said, I still have the same confidence. I’m still me. I’m never going anywhere. You know, just going out there, seeing the light of day, that’s all I needed, you know, to see how they’re doing over there. Playing against a great defense. You’ve got Pro Bowl guys out there, so it’s like, it’s exciting to see. OK, is it like that? Okay. It’s like “I’m excited for that. So, you know, I just have to take this one and build on it.”
