Singer’s outfit choice at NFL game sparks debate on social media

Karina Pasian was asked to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the first-ever NFL regular season game in Madrid, Spain, between the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders.

Pasian came out onto the field in a black mini-dress with stockings and garters to sing the national anthem. Even though her performance went well, fans were unhappy with her outfit while she sang.

Many NFL fans have found themselves caught in a frenzied debate on social media.

Regardless, Pasian ignored the criticism and wrote on Instagram how proud she was to have the opportunity to sing the anthem in front of thousands of people in Spain.

“Thank you so much @nfl for this incredible opportunity! It was an honor to sing the national anthem at the first ever NFL game in Spain!!” » she wrote as the caption of a photo collage.

Pasian has been working in the music industry for quite some time. Her R&B album, “First Love”, reached number 11 on the US R&B charts and number 57 on the US overall chart when it debuted in August 2008.

Since then, she has released a few EPs and singles, with her most recent EP being released in 2020 titled “Something Warm to Wear”.

Meanwhile, Spanish fans were treated to a match in overtime. The Dolphins were able to escape with a three-point victory over the Commanders, 16-13.
