Favre, who played for the Jets for one season of his career, shared his thoughts on his late absence as a famous football player.

“It might be a little safer in Green Bay and you might not be able to go out at 2 p.m. in Green Bay,” he said on “4th and Favre.” “New York – going out at 2 p.m. is no big deal. It’s a big city. Lots of things to do. Lots of places to eat. Lots of places to go out.

“I don’t know this young man. It looks like he was having fun at the restaurant. It doesn’t matter if it’s 2 p.m. or 8 p.m., it’s sad that we have to talk about it more and more these days. But prayers for him and his family.”

Police have released photos of a suspect they say discharged the firearm that led to Boyd’s shooting.

“The wanted individual is described as a man of medium complexion,” police said. “He was last seen wearing a black cap, a black sweatshirt, black pants, multi-colored sneakers and a black school bag.”
