CrazyRDP, a “bulletproof” hosting service mainly used by cybercriminals and hackers, has been taken offline after Dutch police seized much of its hardware.
In a press release, Dutch police said they had taken action against an anonymous bulletproof accommodation service, active since 2022 and cited in more than 80 different investigations, both local and international. In the operation, which took place on November 12, police seized around 250 servers found in data centers in The Hague and Zoetermeer, police explained.

“Due to the seizure of these physical servers, thousands of virtual servers were also taken offline,” the statement said.
Bulletproof hosting is a type of web hosting service that deliberately ignores or resists takedown requests, reports of abuse, and legal complaints.
As such, it is incredibly popular among cybercriminals, as they can use it to host malicious infrastructure (stealing landing page information, malware) without fear of violating the service provider’s terms of service. Additionally, the service provider does not enforce Know Your Customer (KYC), providing complete anonymity to miscreants from all walks of life.
Although the Dutch police did not specify the name of the company whose infrastructure was dismantled, BeepComputer reports that it was CrazyRPD, a company that offered both VPS and RDP services, allowed people to open accounts without KYC, kept no logs, and only required a username and password to create an account.
In fact, the company’s website is now offline and inaccessible. On Reddit, some users praise law enforcement, saying “nothing is bulletproof,” while others advocate using VPS services in jurisdictions more friendly to such practices.
Since no arrests have been made, it can be assumed that CrazyRDP (or a rebrand) will be back, sooner or later. Police will now analyze the seized servers in an attempt to doxx both operators and users.
