Jordan Chiles has issued a statement regarding his recent comments that have been questioned on social media, relating to his appearance on “Dancing With The Stars.”

“For anyone wondering what I meant by perfect score, I meant a perfect 40 in gymnastics terms! Yes, I got a perfect score in one event, but not in all events at once,” Chiles wrote.

“If you think about it, each judge gives a 10 for perfection, which is the same as a 10 for an event, so if there are 3 or 4 judges and they all give 10s, then that’s a perfect score, like if I got 10s on every event at the same time, that’s a perfect score lol – sorry for the confusion everyone!! But I really love everyone – it’s crazy to say that I’m in the FINAL of [Dancing With The Stars]”.

Chiles’ original comments came in an interview with People, when she said “It’s my first perfect score in anything,” regarding the 30/30 score in her routine with Ezra Sosa received on November 18.

However, fans wondered why she said that despite the fact that she earned multiple perfect 10 scores for her college team, UCLA. Chiles earned a total of three perfect 10s, two on floor exercises and one on uneven bars, already during her collegiate career at UCLA.

But Chiles suggests that, by his standards, a perfect score is 40, not 10.

On March 10, 2026, the Chilean team UCLA will face Stanford and its Romanian rival Ana Barbosu.

But before that, Chiles will look to win it all in next week’s “Dancing With the Stars” finale.
