After a months-long investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), American rapper David Anthony Burke, aka D4vd, was named as a suspect in the murder of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Fernandez last week.
Earlier last week, on November 22, a source close to the investigation revealed that Celeste’s decomposed body was inside D4vd’s Tesla, which was “partially frozen,” and new details add weight to the ongoing investigation.
According to a new report, the Hollywood Hills home he rented contained a huge, massive freezer, enough to store a body, a key detail since his remains appear to have been frozen for months, investigators in the tragic murder of Celeste Rivas have discovered, as reported byTMZ.
A photo of D4vd’s rental house, taken a few years ago, shows that the kitchen was equipped with a standard KitchenAid fridge/freezer, accessible by TMZ.
The investigator described the refrigerator as a tall, narrow unit that could potentially contain a body if its shelves were removed.
Earlier, TMZ had claimed that Celeste Rivas Fernández was found in a bag inside a Tesla belonging to D4vd, dismembered before being put in the trunk.
Surprisingly, his remains were partially frozen when they were found, given the car was parked outside his Los Angeles home in the scorching August heat.
According to the publication, police have not confirmed whether the freezer was part of the investigation, although they searched the home on a warrant shortly after the body was found.
According to details shared by LAPD officials, Celeste Riva’s body was in a state of advanced decomposition and partial freezing, making it difficult for investigators to immediately determine her age, gender or ethnicity.
However, the medical examiner is still working to determine the cause and manner of his death.
