The answers to today’s Strands, game #632, are…
- ACME
- SUMMIT
- SUMMIT
- SUMMIT
- CULMINATE
- HEIGHT
- ZENITH
- SPANGRAM: UPPER LIMIT
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 2 tips
I had no idea what we were going to look for in the theme, so I started out hoping to find something by looking through the board.
Even non-gaming words were hard to find today, but I eventually found enough to give me some clues. ACME meant nothing to me other than being the company from which Wile E. Coyote purchased his questionable gadgets for his attempts to catch the Road Runner.
My next index, APEX, was more useful and the penny eventually dropped. SUMMIT, PINNACLE and PEAK came next, before I finally saw the spangram – top marks given that it’s placed at the UPPER LIMIT of today’s grid.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Monday, November 24, Thu #631)

- JOCKEY

- VETERINARIAN
- Farrier
