David Beckham’s youngest son Cruz has applauded Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese superstar claimed he was physically superior to the retired Manchester United legend.
Ronaldo made the remark during a recent interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, when asked who he considered the prettier of the two.
Predictably, the 40-year-old striker, who is now playing his third season with the Saudi club Al Nassr, did not hesitate to respond.
“Her face is beautiful, yes, beautiful face,” he said. “The rest is normal, as if it were normal. I’m not normal. I’m perfect.
On Monday, Cruz Beckham, 20, responded on Instagram, referencing Ronaldo’s comments and drawing a comparison between the Portuguese striker’s facial features shortly after signing for Manchester United as a relatively unknown teenager in 2003 and David Beckham’s features in his early 20s.
“For me, being beautiful is not just the face but the whole thing,” an optimistic Ronaldo explained during his interview with Morgan in November.
“Imagine Cristiano and a normal guy in red speedos at Copacabana, you think I won’t have a chance with anyone.”
Pushed further into the comparison, Morgan elicited a confident and conceited response from the football icon.
“You walk through Copacabana for, say, ten minutes. Who gets the most attention? he asked. “Me, 100 percent,” Ronaldo boasted, prompting laughter from Morgan.
