Pakistan-Saudi Arabia joint military exercise Al-Battar II concluded in Tabuk, capping more than a week of intensive counter-terrorism training organized from November 18 to 26.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise brought together the Special Services Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army and Saudi military units for advanced exercises aimed at enhancing interoperability and refining operational readiness. The closing ceremony in Tabuk was attended by the General Officer Commanding SSG as the chief guest of Pakistan, along with senior officials of the Saudi Armed Forces.

During the exercise, troops from both sides demonstrated high-level professional skills, especially in counter-terrorism operations. The exercises focused on urban combat, improvised explosive device (IED) disposal and coordinated tactical procedures aimed at improving joint response capabilities.

The ISPR said this engagement has not only enhanced the forces’ capacity to carry out complex operations but also strengthened the long-standing defense partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. All training objectives were successfully achieved, reaffirming the two countries’ shared commitment to regional stability, security and collective preparedness, the document concluded.
