The answers to today’s Strands, game #635, are…
- COIN
- FOUNTAIN
- LADYBUG
- STAR
- DANDELION
- EYELASH
- SPANGRAM: TAKE A TRIP
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
The theme was pretty vague, so unsure of what type of words I was looking for that I collected non-gaming words and took a hint.
After getting COIN, I immediately spotted FOUNTAIN and initially thought we were looking for word pairs after seeing the MAKEAWISH spangram.
There are an incredible number of things that we consider to bring us luck and, in turn, bad luck.
I remember spending hours looking for a four-leaf clover as a child, believing it would be my path to a serendipitous life.
Likewise, I’m cursed to believe in dozens of bad luck signs and I can’t pass a magpie without saying hello, I can’t spill salt without throwing some over my shoulder and I’ll walk into oncoming traffic rather than under a ladder.
