The crypto industry’s most famous rapper, Heather Morgan – better known as Razzlekhan – has released a new music video as US authorities prepare to jail her for criminally laundering some of the crypto loot she her husband was convicted of theft from Bitfinex.
In the song “Razzlekhan vs. The United States,” Morgan’s extravagant, proactively dressed musical persona spins and scowls at the camera. Despite the legalese in the song’s name, its lyrics are not an overt attack on the investigation and legal proceedings. this earned him an 18-month federal prison sentence.
“It’s not a free country; it runs on money; the capitalists are friends; the old white men are real grumpy,” Morgan raps, tied up in red ropes. The aggressive image contrasts sharply with the conservatively dressed defendant who wept in a Washington courtroom as she apologized for her role in hiding and cashing in part of almost 120,000 bitcoins.
Her husband, Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein, was sentenced to five years in prison for orchestrating the hack and theft. And the couple’s crypto crimes are the subject of a recent Netflix documentary, “Biggest Heist Ever.”
Morgan’s Razzlekhan performance is intended as a tongue-in-cheek commentary, she says, and in the latest “misfit anthem” released Friday, “the lines of sex appeal and cringe-worthy memes are blurred.”
“It symbolizes many of my actual thoughts and experiences throughout our federal case,” she said in a statement about the work. “Many creatives and misfits have told me that Razzlekhan’s content has really inspired them and made them feel less alone.”
The federal judge who sentenced her, despite her request to be released from the days she had already served behind bars, said she would not have to report to prison until the end of January. His computer use will also be restricted and monitored.

Morgan lamented in court that his reputation had been “completely and utterly” destroyed due to the public’s fixation on his rapper persona as a sideshow to the high-profile criminal case.
She told the judge at the sentencing hearing that she would be haunted “for the rest of my life” but that she had done so to assist in the theft of what would now be worth $11 billion. Hours later, she posted a video of Razzlekhan celebrating the end of his silence.
In this latest appearance, less than two months later, Razzlekhan taps not a crypto executive, but someone with deep ties to the world of digital assets: the CEO of Tesla and the social media site X, who is now a political ally of the president-elect. Donald Trump.
“Old silver, dusty gold; save me Elon Musky!”
