NYT Strands today (game #638) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #638, are…
- SKATES
- PUCK
- STICKS
- GOALS
- DASHBOARD
- ZAMBONI
- SPANGRAM: HOCKEY RINK
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: Perfect
From the theme, my first thought was SKATES – but it wasn’t until I discovered PUCK that I realized it was a hockey themed search.
After getting the STICKS and GOALS answers, I reached the limit of my hockey knowledge, but luckily I got the SCORE TABLE. That just left ZAMBONI – a word I hadn’t heard of until today, but I’ve since learned that it’s the brand name of the machine that cleans the rink.
I thought my dreams of getting involved in professional sports were over, but now that I know the zamboni driver job exists… although as someone who struggles with reverse parking, I’m not sure I qualify for it.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Sunday, November 30, Match #637)

- HERD
- ARMY
- HERD
