President Donald Trump is confident in the security of host cities months before the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes center stage, telling reporters ahead of the draw in Washington, DC, that the government will “take care of” any concerns if necessary.
“No, I don’t want to do that, but I will tell you if they have a problem before we get there, we will take care of that problem,” Trump said. “We can solve this problem. I’ve proven it in Washington and everywhere we’ve been, so we’re going to solve this problem very easily.
“So if they have a problem, hopefully they will let us know and we will resolve any problem.”
