The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday said 9 terrorists were killed in two separate Intelligence-Based Operations (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
It said an IBO investigation was carried out in Tank into the reported presence of terrorists. “While driving [the] During the operation, our own troops effectively engaged the location of the khawarij, and after an intense exchange of fire, seven khawarij were sent to hell,” the statement said.
In another IBO conducted in Lakki Marwat, “two other khawarij were effectively neutralized by security forces.”
“Disinfection operations are underway to eliminate any further Indian-sponsored kharji found in the area,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday congratulated security forces for their successful operations against India-backed Fitna-al-Khwarij in Tank and Lakki Marwat districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The President appreciated the timely and effective action of the security forces which resulted in the death of Khwarij, the press wing of the President’s Secretariat said in a press release.
Paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Shuhadas and Ghazis, he reiterated that the resolve of the nation and the security forces would remain firm until the complete elimination of this menace.
The President praised the morale of the forces who foiled the nefarious designs of Fitna-al-Khwarij operating under Indian patronage.
The Prime Minister congratulated the security forces for eliminating 9 terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khwarij during these operations.
Under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, security forces have achieved major successes in the fight against terrorism, he added.
“The entire nation stands with the Pakistani armed forces in this war against terrorism,” a press release quoted the Prime Minister as saying.
He also expressed his determination to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
