Brittany Mahomes has often expressed support for her husband and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Although the Chiefs quarterback remains widely considered one of the NFL’s top talents, Kansas City’s inconsistent performance this season has raised questions about the team’s playoff viability.
The Chiefs have advanced to four of the last five Super Bowls, but are 6-6 entering a critical Week 14 matchup against the Houston Texans. A loss on Sunday night could be a major blow to the Chiefs’ playoff hopes.

The uncertainty surrounding the normally perennial playoff team has also sparked discussion about Mahomes’ performance so far in 2025. However, two-time NBA Finals champion Kevin Durant has fired back at anyone who decides to criticize Mahomes’ football prowess.

“What kind of question is this? It makes no sense. If someone questions Pat Mahomes’ legacy of a single year, he can miss the playoffs for the rest of his career, I don’t care,” Durant said during a recent appearance on “Up & Adams.”
“This man’s name is Patrick Mahomes. When he came in, how many championships did he win? Three? Come on, are we going to question Pat Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce? He’s still an all-time great, potentially the greatest of all time.”

A clip of Durant’s comments was later shared on the show’s Instagram account and prompted a comment from Brittany. “Let them know,” she wrote.
CJ Stroud returned to the Texans lineup for a Week 13 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
The Chiefs-Texans game will start at 8:20 p.m. ET.
