Field Marshal Munir receives guard of honor at GHQ as Pakistan’s first CDF

The event was attended by senior army officers including the Chief of Naval Staff and Chief of Air Staff.

A guard of honor ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to honor Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, on the occasion of his appointment as the first Chief of Defense Forces of Pakistan.

During the ceremony, contingents from the three armed forces presented the COAS and the new chief of defense forces with an official guard of honour. Marshal Munir also received a general salute and inspected the guard of honor, the national television channel reported.

The event was attended by senior army officers, including Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Pakistan Air Staff Zaheer Ahmad Babar, paying tribute to the new defense chief.
