Prince Harry and Meghan jet off to Archie and Lilibet after King Charles’ gift

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ready to end their year 2025 on a pleasant note by leaving behind the tumults of the past for the happiness of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have not attended the traditional royal Christmas service at Sandringham for the past six years, appear to have started their own tradition but also added a royal rite of passage to the festive period.

As frosty relations begin to thaw and shift toward much more cordial correspondence with the royal family, notably King Charles, the Sussexes have made special plans for the holidays.

Although the Sussexes won’t be joining the royal family at Sandringham for Christmas again this year, they plan to leave the United States right after with their children.

According to sources cited by Page sixthe family will join friends for a lavish New Year’s vacation abroad. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, will also be there.

Insiders suggested the Sussexes would not go to the Philippines, where Meghan’s ex-father Thomas Markle is in hospital while recovering from a life-saving leg amputation.

The update comes after Palace released details of a surprise gift planned months in advance for families vacationing away from loved ones.

Charles always cared for the people stationed on the frozen continent of Antarctica and offered them words of hope and joy. This time he had “gifted” a Royal Mail “lamp” postbox, which would allow them to stay in touch with their loved ones.

It also reflects how Charles naturally feels when he is away from his son and grandchildren. However, it’s possible that they could finally meet Archie and Lilibet in person as Harry’s safety is under review. It remains to be seen when the meeting will actually take place.
