New FBI Video Shows Brown University Suspect ‘Surrounding’ Campus for 5 Hours: Watch

The desperate manhunt for the shooter who killed two people and injured nine at Brown University entered its fourth day with investigators analyzing hundreds of tips.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also released a detailed new video timeline of the suspect “investigating” on campus hours before the attack.

The enhanced footage shows the person of interest walking through Providence neighborhoods, meticulously plotting a route that began around 10:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, December 13, for more than five hours before the shooting inside the Barus-Holley Engineering Building.

Providence Police Chief Col. Oscar Perez Jr. said the individual appeared to be continually monitoring the area.

Perez said, “What we know is that he was surveying the area, and again, that’s what criminals do before they commit a crime.”

Authorities asked the public to study the suspect’s body movements, posture and gait, in hopes of obtaining a decisive identification.

It is important to note that all videos in the timeline come from off-campus sources. Investigators confirmed that cameras inside the engineering building captured the chaos, but not the shooter, who moved into an older section with little cover.

This raises questions about the attacker’s knowledge of the location.

However, voluntary DNA sample collection indicates evidence was recovered at the scene, but was not matched in national databases.

The campus remains under stress, with classes canceled and a statewide review of school safety measures as ordered by the governor.
