Legendary actor Mark Hamill, known for his iconic role in Star Warsrevealed how he got into showbiz.
The 74-year-old is not only known for Star Warsbut he is also recognized for voicing Joker in several DC Comics media, starting in 1992. Batman: Animated Series.
During a conversation at SAG-AFTRA FoundationHamill revealed that when he was in fourth, fifth or sixth grade and assigned to write a report on Andrew Scott, he would do the complete opposite and instead look for critiques of King Kong in the New York Times.
Instead, he focused more on showbiz and special effects people since school.
The veteran actor knew from a young age that there was no other business for him. “I didn’t know if I was going to become an actor or what. But I thought whoever is going to work and bring dinosaurs to life, I want that job.”
Mark wasn’t sure if he was good at it or not, but he wanted to start as an assistant.
In the meantime, The long walk The actor further admitted to being inspired by Walt Disney.
“One of the things that stood out to me was the Walt Disney Television show, because it was the first television show that showed how movies were actually made…there’s a film crew, there’s a wardrobe.”
Mark said he couldn’t admit it to anyone at the time because he risked being “ridiculed beyond belief”.
