LOWER DIR:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Awami National Party (ANP) President Mian Iftikhar Hussain has asserted that terrorism has become a full-fledged affair in Pakistan, saying that from the time of General Ziaul Haq to the present, the same policy has continued whereby Pashtun blood is shed in exchange for dollars.
Addressing a grand joining ceremony organized by the ANP Lower Dir, Mian Iftikhar said that terrorism is currently at its peak, government orders are absent in the tribal districts and the provincial government seems completely indifferent to the deteriorating security situation.
He termed the punishment imposed on former intelligence chief Faiz Hameed as inadequate, saying responsibilities for the release of 40,000 terrorists and 102 high-profile terrorist prisoners were still pending. He added that Ehsanullah Ehsan, the killer of his only son, is still at large.
During the event, Malik Naseer Gujjar, along with his family and associates, officially joined the Awami National Party. Former Chief Minister Haider Khan Hoti, Central Finance Secretary Senator Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Provincial General Secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, District President Haji Bahadur Khan and other party leaders were also present.
