NYT Strands today (game #657) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #657, are…
- STAR
- ORNAMENT
- LIGHTS
- RIBBON
- FLASHING
- ANGEL
- SPANGRAM: CHRISTMAS TREE
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
The “all the trimmings” theme immediately made me think of Christmas, but my first thoughts – as is so often the case in late December – were of food.
After giving up on my search for side orders for Christmas meals, I opted for a hint and STAR completely changed its focus.
Despite the lack of long words, I still had a lot of trouble with today’s match. Maybe I’m lacking Christmas spirit – or maybe I’ve already had too much.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Friday, December 19, Match #656)
- CUBE
- JULIENNE
- SLICE
- CHOP
- CHIFFONADE
- SPANGRAM: MAKING THE CUT
