Approve the division of the city into 13 operational zones for rapid delivery of services and resolution of public complaints

FAISALABAD:

In an effort to reduce accidents caused by uncovered manholes, the divisional and district administrations of Faisalabad, in coordination with WASA, have strengthened measures against theft and negligence, following tragic incidents in Lahore and Karachi.

Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar approved the division of the city into 13 operational zones for speedy delivery of services and resolution of public complaints.

Teams led by directors were assigned responsibilities for each area.

Each zone manager will supervise the covering of uncovered manholes, resolve sewerage problems and handle citizen complaints, with strict instructions that no negligence will be tolerated.

At a meeting of water and sanitation experts, the commissioner and WASA officials outlined the 13 zonal structures.

WASA Faisalabad Managing Director Saqib Raza announced that WASA helpline 1334 remains operational 24/7 and a rapid response force has been created to immediately cover missing manholes and slabs.

Supervised by the Deputy Director (CRC), the force remains on alert at WASA headquarters to respond to any nighttime reports.
