Although he initially comes off as aloof and borderline rude, it quickly becomes clear that there are hidden depths to him.”

Tell Me Lies Season 3 Synopsis and Rumors
Major spoilers follow for Tell me lies seasons 1 and 2.
While Tell me lies started as an adaptation of Lovering’s novel of the same name, season 2 expanded and strayed from the main path, adding new events and storylines for viewers to follow.
So if you’re considering turning to the book for insight into season 3, you should keep in mind that at this point, it’s a coward adaptation.
Luckily, we have an official logline for Season 3 that gives us quite a bit of information about what’s to come: “Tell me lies Season 3 follows Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco as they rekindle their tempestuous romance in time for the spring semester at Baird College.
“While they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions get in the way of their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with.
“Meanwhile, the disastrous fallout from the previous year also forces Lucy and Stephen’s friends to confront their own destructive behaviors. As scandalous secrets fester on campus, dire consequences threaten Lucy and everyone around her.”
As if the scandal from the season 2 finale wasn’t enough. If you need a quick refresher, at her wedding, Bree listened to a voicemail from Stephen telling her that Evan had cheated on her with Lucy. She knew he cheated, but not with her.
And even though that problem will be resolved, showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer says it will be a surprising twist. Speaking exclusively to Teen Vogue, she explained: “I think the fallout from voicemail is vast and brutal and wild, but it is.” not play how people will anticipate.
For Season 3, executive producer Tyne Rafaeli also hinted that Season 3 would ratchet up the heat on much of the show’s already steamy drama: “It feels like the stakes of their decisions are much higher; the consequences of their decisions just seem more dangerous. They go into dark areas of sexual relationships and psychological relationships that I don’t think this show has seen yet.”
Oppenheimer adds that season 3 will resume in January 2009, as being more of a “hostage situation”. Saying, “I feel like we’re answering the question of Stephen’s morality, to some extent, in a fun way, which I think will surprise people.”
For Lucy this season, Oppenheimer explains that she: “has a shame response that is really deep and very, very dark. People will have very strong feelings about it. I don’t think everyone will like it. They will enjoy watching it, but I think some people will be offended. But I’m OK with that.”
But it’s not just the relationship between Lucy and Stephen that is tumultuously woven Tell me lies. Oppenheimer says the cast and crew “were very surprised by the direction Bree is taking this season.”
In the Season 2 finale, aside from her marriage to Evan seemingly on the verge of blowing up, Baird College timeline Bree had realized that Oliver was in an open marriage to Marianne, which, for all the validity of what Oliver actually felt about her, was in emotional chaos.
There are a lot of takeaways from Season 3; the shocking death of Wrigley’s brother Drew, Pippa’s personal journey to deal with the emotional aftermath of her assault, Bree’s intersection of past and present and, of course, the toxic relationship between Stephen and Lucy. Fortunately, there isn’t much of a wait.
Will there be more Tell Me Lies season 4?
For anyone hoping for more seasons of Tell me liesI’m afraid there will be bad news.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tom Ellis was asked if season 3 would be the last, to which he revealed: “I think so. I think Meaghan [Oppenheimer] wrote that this would be the last season.
And given that Meaghan is his real wife, it seems highly likely that he knows what she’s planning.
While this is disappointing news for fans, he also added that season 3 will be the “darkest season yet,” and that’s certainly one way to go out with a bang.
