Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, currently under arrest at the Los Angeles Jail, does not appear to be a stranger to the police, as he has filed complaints over the years.
Following the murder of the famous director and his wife and the allegations against his son, police revealed a series of reports that the couple had contacted them.
Police records suggest the family made at least five calls to the LAPD over the past six years, in 2013, 2014, 2017 and twice in 2019. The sixth and most recent call occurred on Dec. 14, when police discovered the When Harry Met Sally director and the bodies of his wife in their Brentwood home.
According to a police source, the Reiners requested help regarding mental health emergencies, threats of violence as well as assault and battery, pursuant to a Daily Mail report.
It was previously reported that Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and after his time in rehab, he moved in with his parents, where he continued to struggle to stay off drugs, but his parents did their best to help him.
