Special gifts, cash grants and other facilities were offered to the Christian community ahead of Christmas, transforming the occasion into an atmosphere of joy even before the festive day.
The district administration and Bhakkar police actively participated in the celebrations and took practical steps to ensure that members of the Christian community could celebrate their religious festival in a safe, respectful and joyful environment.
Special ceremonies were organized separately at Bhakkar Police Station and Deputy Commissioner’s Office, which were attended in large numbers by members of the Christian community, peace committee members, district and police officers, civil society representatives and students.
At Police Lines, the Christmas cake was cut jointly with members of the Christian community, while at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, cash prizes, gifts and Eidi were distributed to Christian families and children.
District Police Officer (DPO) Bhakkar Shahzad Rafiq Awan also distributed cash rewards to the Christian officers and staff serving in the police department and presented gifts to the children to share their happiness.
