The slain Khawarij were actively involved in attacks on security forces, killing innocent civilians, says ISPR
An Army major embraced martyrdom while five terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij were killed during an intelligence operation in Khar general area of Bajaur district, the Army’s media wing said on Monday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on December 29, 2025, following reports of the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, effective engagement of security forces resulted in the death of five Indian-sponsored Khawarij.
The ISPR said that during an intense exchange of fire, Major Adeel Zaman (36), a resident of Dera Ismail Khan district, who led his troops from the front, fought valiantly and made the ultimate sacrifice, kissing the shahadat.

The statement added that arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain Khawarij, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against security forces and law enforcement agencies, as well as killing of innocent civilians.
“Disinfection operations are underway to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Khawarij present in the region,” the ISPR said.
He further said that the incessant anti-terrorism campaign carried out under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam – approved by the Supreme Federal Committee within the framework of the National Action Plan – will continue at full speed to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism in the country.
