Adam Peaty’s mother Caroline is ‘struggling to cope’ with the consequences of marriage

The Peaty family was not invited to the nuptials, except for Adam’s sister, Beth.

Adam Peaty’s mother Caroline seemed to still be dealing with the healing process following the fallout from the marriage.

Peaty, a devout Christian, married influencer and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly at Bath Cathedral on December 27, following a dramatic row which led to the Olympian excluding his own mother from the service.

And on her social media, she shared a post from another account that said: “I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.” The full message read: “I won’t end this year pretending everything was okay. I lost a part of me this year that I’ll never get back and I can’t force myself to smile like it hasn’t changed me.

“So no…I won’t say ‘2026 will be my year.’ I will pray that I recover next year, that my heart never breaks like that again, that I never have to survive something like that again.

“I will pray for peace… true peace, the one that allows me to breathe without fighting for it. I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.

His second repost said: “Just a quick reminder that you don’t have to make any resolutions, huge decisions, or big proclamations.

“You can simply set gentle intentions and take each day as it comes.”

The Peaty family were not invited to the nuptials, except for Adam’s sister Beth, who was a bridesmaid alongside Holly’s sisters Megan and Tilly.
