Nick Jonas Gets Sentimental After ‘Gut Punch’ Debut

Nick Jonas started the new year on a reflective note, choosing introspection over resolutions.

On the first morning of 2026, the Jonas Brothers member felt reflective as he shared a personal video message acknowledging the mixed emotions many feel as the new year begins.

Fresh off Gut Punch’s debut, Nick, who is married to Priyanka Chopra, recorded himself explaining the message behind his latest solo album.

“Today I’m feeling all the reflective feelings from the beginning of the year, definitely like a little bit of anxiety, but I’m just going to curb that for a minute and just say that I wanted to put Gut Punch on this day specifically for all of those feelings, not just for me but for any of you who might be feeling the same thing,” he said in the nearly minute-long clip.

He noted that it’s okay to feel vulnerable at the start of the year, that people don’t need to be perfect to move forward, and that choosing gratitude, connection, and self-compassion is enough to make 2026 meaningful.

“Look at yourself in the mirror and say ‘hey, that’s enough,'” the Sucker hitmaker added before concluding, “It’s okay, you’re not defined by your injury or your mistakes. And 2026, I think it’s going to be a great year for all of us.”

He captioned the video: “Sentimental feeling could be removed later. » His latest post came the night after he treated his fans to a live version of Gut Punch, just hours before his debut.

On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025 – January 1, 2026, the Jonas Brothers performed at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Sharing a brief clip of himself singing the new solo on stage, Nick captioned the post: “I couldn’t ask for a better way to ring in the new year than to hear these words that mean so much to me sung back. Here’s to being kinder to ourselves in 2026. Thank you. I love you.”
