Following in the footsteps of various top-notch laptop refreshes expected to attract attention at the world’s biggest tech conference, the HP OMEN 15 is also gearing up for a return at CES 2026.
Citing sources, Windows Latest noted that the return of HP OMEN 15 marks a return for its entire lineup which debuted in 2020 and received a refresh in 2021, then was phased out in 2022 as HP focused on the OMEN 16.
To give off a vibe of renewal and that HP’s OMEN 15 will make waves at CES 2026 with the redesign of the new OLED display and AI features, the new OMEN 15 could pack updated silicon, an OLED display, and latency-focused improvements without making drastic changes to the laptop’s design.
Regarding the OMEN 15, the leaks also painted a picture of options ranging from an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H Panther Lake or an AMD Ryzen AI 7 450, with graphics options going up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070. This positions the device in a high performance tier without venturing into the highest GPU class.
The most notable feature is expected to be a 3K 120Hz OLED display with a claimed 0.2ms response time, prioritizing contrast and responsiveness for a variety of uses, from gaming to work. However, details like brightness, burn-in protection, and widespread availability of the OLED option remain to be confirmed.
For those planning to invest in OMEN 15, waiting would be a wise decision if they want OLED and the latest processor. But those in dire need of a laptop should consider current options, as information on the HP OMEN 15’s pricing, thermal performance, and GPU performance is yet to be shared.
Last but not least, a tempting aspect is that the laptop could offer up to 42% FPS improvement in certain games via OMEN AI, although the results may vary.
