LAHORE:
The ECP has issued a revised notification for the by-election to the vacant Punjab Assembly seat PP-167 Lahore, announcing changes in the polling date and election schedule.
According to the notification, polling for the by-election will now be held on February 4, instead of the previously announced date of February 8. Candidates will be able to submit their declaration of candidacy from January 7 to 9, while the initial list of candidates will be published on January 9.
Review of application files will be completed by January 12. The final list of candidates along with the allocation of electoral symbols will be published on January 24, the notification said.
