Govt revises list of officers nominated for NMC

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Government has revised the list of senior civil servants nominated for the National Management Course (NMC), a mandatory requirement for promotion to grade 21, introducing new changes in the officers selected for the 124th NMC, it was learned on Friday.

The Establishments Division has officially informed the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, about the latest revisions. As part of the update, the nominations of seven leaders were withdrawn, while 14 additional leaders were included in the list.

Among the officers whose candidatures were withdrawn are Commerce Ministry Joint Secretary Kashif Gulzar and Interior Division Joint Secretary Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi. Also withdrawn are Commissioners of Inland Revenue (IR) Karachi Zone-IV Shazia Abid and Shazia Memon, as well as Commissioner of Inland Revenue Karachi Hasnain Brohi. The list also includes Ejaz Ahmed Khan Yousafzai, Accounting Member, Inland Revenue Appellate Tribunal (IRAT) and Ehsanullah, Postmaster General, KP Circle, Peshawar.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed officers for the course include Joint Secretary Economic Affairs Division Nasira Batool Jaffery, EPZA Karachi Director Ghulam Mustafa Wahucho and Joint Secretary IT Nazir Ahmed. Also named are Punjab Institute of Cardiology Director Lahore Hassan Latif and Acting National Coordinator SCO Farhat Ayesha.

Additional appointments include Irshad Hussain, FBR chief; Muhammad Majid, RTO Commissioner Gujranwala; and Yasmin Fatima, Chief Commissioner of Inland Revenue Gujranwala. The list also includes Director Law Karachi Shakeel Ahmed Kisana.
