ISLAMABAD:
President Asif Ali Zardari extended his congratulations to Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing and the Government and people of Myanmar on the occasion of the country’s 78th independence anniversary.
In a message issued on the occasion, the President conveyed greetings on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and highlighted the long-standing cordial relations between Pakistan and Myanmar. He said ties between the two countries were rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
