PTI wants talks, but Imran blocks the way: Kaira

.

Senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that although the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership appeared to be in favor of negotiations, the real obstacle to dialogue was the party’s imprisoned founder, Imran Khan himself.

He said the impasse between the two sides made continued negotiations unlikely.

Speaking on Express News’ Center Stage, Kaira said the PTI founder was personally blocking the negotiation process despite the will within his party ranks. He argued that the PTI needed to create political space for dialogue with other political parties if it truly wanted to continue negotiations.
