- LG announced the OLED G6 at CES, featuring 20% higher brightness, a much-improved anti-glare display, and the world’s first 120Hz TV
- LG C6 in two models also announced: LG C6 and LG C6H, with next generation panel in the C6H
- The LG W6 ‘Wallpaper’ TV is a G6 but with a 9.9mm thick wireless box
- LG also announced new QNED mini-LED TVs with screens up to 115 inches and a Gallery Art TV with an included bezel.
The OLED evo G6 will use LG’s new Tandem RGB 2.0 primary display panel, which advances on the Tandem RGB primary panel used in the LG G5, one of the best TVs of 2025. The enhancements include Hyper Radiant Color technology, which LG says extends the brightness benefits of its Tandem RGB primary panel to other picture quality factors such as color and contrast.
LG’s specifications for the new G6 include a Brightness Booster Ultra feature that will provide a 20% increase in brightness over the G5. Reflection Free Premium technology will enable the G6 to deliver “perfect black” in bright or dark viewing conditions, with a screen reflectance of less than 0.5%.
This improvement in anti-glare technology is really good – I’ve seen it in person, and it’s a very marked improvement over the reflectivity of the G5.
The TV’s visual performance in a bright room will also be enhanced by an Ambient Filmmaker mode, which uses a built-in sensor to automatically adjust the picture based on lighting conditions without sacrificing accuracy.
The new G5 is optimized for gaming, with support for Nvidia G-Sync, FreeSync Premium Pro, and 4K 165Hz, as well as a Motion Booster feature that enables 1080p gaming at 330Hz. It will also be the world’s first TV with built-in 4K 120Hz cloud gaming (via GeForce Now) and ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller support.
The LG C6 splits in two
The LG C6 was also revealed and interestingly, there are now two versions of it: the LG C6 and the LG C6H.
The LG C6H is only available in 77-inch and 83-inch models, and the crucial difference here is that it uses a primary RGB tandem panel – the same type of panel used in the LG G5, which was LG’s flagship of last year. That means it should be much brighter than the LG C5 at these sizes – LG told us it should really match the brightness of the G5, roughly.
The standard LG C6 will be available in 42-, 48-, 55-, and 65-inch sizes and will use the same panel type as last year’s LG G5.
The return of Wallpaper TV
LG also revealed the LG W6 “Wallpaper” TV, which is essentially the screen and processing of an LG G6, in an ultra-slim 9.9mm body, and with LG’s wireless Zero Connect box for all connectivity needs, meaning the TV panel only has a single power cable leading to it.
It’s very impressive: in the image above it shows a photo of the wall in ambient mode, so it blends in perfectly with the decor, helped by its thinness.
On the left is the new, smaller Zero Connect box, which supports sending full-quality 4K 165Hz HDR images even when the box is in a closet or doesn’t have direct line of sight to the TV, as long as it’s within 30 feet.
Abundant AI
LG’s new Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor is used in both the LG G6 and LG C6 (which is also used in LG’s already announced new Micro RGB TVs), providing the benefits of faster navigation in the webOS UI as well as a set of AI-based features.
A new AI Hub within webOS will host features such as AI Concierge and AI Search using Copilot and Gemini. For picture enhancement, a new AI Genre TruMotion feature can automatically address stuttering by content genre, such as movies or sports, and an AI Super Upscaling feature allows optimization by genre and scene.
LG’s AI Sound Pro feature found in the G5 will also be included in the G6, offering 11.1.2 virtual mixing of movie and TV soundtracks. As with the G5, DTS soundtrack formats will not be supported on the new TV.
Screen sizes, pricing and availability of LG’s new OLEDs have not been announced.
LG also confirmed the arrival of a B6 OLED model, but said it would not reveal more details until later in 2026.
QNED ultrawide, Gallery TV and more
LG will hop on the super-large-screen TV bandwagon in 2026, with its QNED mini-LED line available in screen sizes up to 115 inches. These models are equipped with an Alpha 8 AI Gen 3 processor and LG’s Dynamic QNED Color Pro.
LG also announced its new Gallery TV, an artistic TV with an included frame designed specifically for wall mounting. Gallery TV will use LG’s new Gallery+ subscription service, which allows viewers to access and view up to 5,000 images. Unique images can also be user-generated with the Gemini AI feature of webOS.
(Longtime fans of OLED TVs will no doubt remember that the G in the G series originally stood for the “Gallery” series, but now that honor appears to have been moved to a new line.)
The company previously announced its new Micro RGB evo TV line and Sound Suite Dolby Atmos FlexConnect speakers, which are also debuting at CES 2026 in December.
