Security forces on Sunday successfully carried out an intelligence operation in Kacchi district of Balochistan, leading to the elimination of 27 terrorists.
The operation was launched after intelligence indicated the presence of militants in the area, army media shared on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces quickly surrounded and attacked the terrorists’ hideouts.
After an intense exchange of fire, the forces managed to neutralize the terrorists. The operation also resulted in the destruction of several militant hideouts, as well as large caches of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
The terrorists eliminated during the operation were responsible for numerous attacks against security forces and civilians and were on the law enforcement’s most wanted list.
The ISPR highlighted that the militants had been involved in destabilization efforts across the region, thereby contributing to the ongoing violence in the region.
The army’s statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring peace and stability in Balochistan, stressing that security forces will continue to confront any attempt to undermine the region’s progress.
