- Microsoft could unveil new hardware this year, according to Windows Central
- The publication claims to have heard “credible rumors” suggesting an “Xbox” OEM PC could be revealed in 2026.
- Windows Central warned that “time will tell” if this reveal will happen
A new report suggests that Microsoft plans to unveil the first preview of new Xbox hardware this year, which would include its OEM Xbox PC.
According to Windows Central, we may see more “Xbox”-branded OEM hardware in 2026 that will take advantage of the full-screen Xbox experience on Windows, like the recently released Xbox Ally.
The publication claims it has “worked on credible rumors” that Microsoft could unveil an OEM “Xbox” PC this year, despite weak sales of the company’s Xbox Series
It’s also important to note that while Windows Central has heard “credible rumors,” it cautioned that “time will tell” whether this revelation comes to fruition.
In addition to an OEM Xbox PC, Windows Central also said that, according to sources, the Xbox Elite Controller Series 3 will be revealed in 2026, along with potential new revisions of the controller.
Rumors about the next Xbox console have been circulating for a while now, and in October, Xbox President Sarah Bond said the next-gen Xbox would be high-end hardware, suggesting it would be more like a PC-console hybrid.
While Windows Central claims new hardware could be revealed this year, other rumors suggest the Xbox, along with the PS6, is aiming for a 2027 launch.
