Nick Reiner came to his defense ahead of his arraignment while behind bars for allegedly murdering his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.
The 32-year-old writer and filmmaker believes he is accused of the murder of his parents, even if he would have been aware of his “crime”, said a close source.
While Nick has been under mental surveillance during his confinement, the source shared that he doesn’t seem to understand why he is in prison, according to TMZ.
The complaint occurs after Being Charlie The writer’s arraignment was delayed a second time due to the sudden retreat of his lawyer, Alan Jackson.
As of now, Nick will be defended by Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender Kimberly Greene, and the arraignment will take place on February 23.
Shortly after the defendant was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, it was revealed that Nick had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and had been exhibiting erratic behavior since a recent change in his prescription.
He was arrested after the famous director and his wife were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home on December 14.
