PPP commits to ending public deprivation in AJK

MUZAFFARABAD:

Under the leadership of AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government is fully committed to eliminating public deprivation in the region, by accelerating development efforts in AJK, Regional Minister for Information, Auqaf and Religious Affairs Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nair said on Friday.

He said that since the formation of the PPP government, the process of construction and development has once again gained momentum across Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with its positive impacts now clearly visible at all levels.

Public service delivery, development projects and good governance, he added, remain the defining features of the current government.

Expressing confidence in the government’s performance, the Information Minister said that based on its achievements, the PPP would once again achieve a decisive victory in the upcoming general elections and form the government in AJK. He added that the government in place was working tirelessly to meet the expectations of the population.

Earlier, on arrival in Karachi, Chaudhry Muhammad Rafiq Nair was warmly welcomed by local leaders and Pakistan People’s Party workers at the Karachi International Airport. He thanked party leaders and workers for the enthusiastic welcome.

Among those who received it were PPP Azad Kashmir Sindh Zone Chairman Sardar Zulfiqar Ali, Sardar Zafar Iqbal, Sardar Shaukat Khan, Chaudhry Maqbool, Altaf Shah and Azhar Awan. Mehnaz Akhtar Awan and Shamim Akhtar, along with other party leaders and workers, were also present on the occasion.
